Film and TV

One of the most interesting way to learn about a culture is to consume the content that they produce. Luckily, there are more options to watch this content than ever before. Thanks to streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime, along with traditional cable platforms like HBO taking a greater chance on Italian television, Italophiles looking to binge have no shortage of content to enjoy. If you’re looking for original content, Netflix leads the way with several series and movies being produced just in the last few years. Amazon Prime’s massive (and growing) library contains several Italian language films as well as a few television series that originally aired in Italy. Even mainstays like HBO are co-producing high quality content with Italian companies and bringing them to the American audience. And if you really want to immerse yourself in Italian culture, there are now multiple Italian channels (including state sponsored RAI) available for subscription on most cable and satellite providers.

We’ll do our best to make you aware of all the wonderful opportunities to watch these shows and movies, and we’ll provide reviews along the way so you know if it’s worth the investment for you!
